Company (SNC) hereby submits one signed original and ten copies of Revision 7 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plan (VEGP) Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR).
This submittal is provided on a replacement page basis and is accompanied by an effective page list that identifies the current pages of the UFSAR, (1
i SNC has elected to make this interim Revisioa 7 to reflect selected changes through August 31,1996 including:
Reflecting the March 22,'1997 transfer of the operating licensee to SNC.
incorporation of the resolution ofissues resulting from the JFSAR Verification Effort e
in response to NRC IN 96-17. Issues identified in the UFSAR Verification Effort which are subject to further review, will be included in future a UFSAR revision following their resolution.
O incorporation of other selected revisions, which are not the result of changes made to the e

VEGP facility, approved under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 from November 13, 1996 to August 31,1997. Changes made to the VEGP facility under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 which were implemented from November 13,1996 to August 31,1997 will be submitted in the next regular revision cycle.

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(c)(4) and prior NRC concurrence established with the y
submittal of Revision 4 in April,1994, the regular UFSAR revision for VEGP will be filed f
approximately every 18 months, within six months following completion of each VEGP Unit 2 refueling outage. The next Unit 2 refueling outage completion is presently scheduled for the Spring of 1998 and both Units remain on nominal 18 month refueling cycles.
