The Commission has approved publication of the Federal Rectister notice (FRN) and issuance of the draft regulatory guide and 1
standard review plan for a 90-day public comment period.

The st.af f should continue to evaluate the two methodologies in parallel and work with industry representatives on their respective pilot applications.
The issues raised in the FRN and
.the details of the two methodologies should be thoroughly discussed during the public workshop.
The staff should also consider whether it is necessary and practical for licensees to perform risk assessment on all pipes in the plant for determining 1
the scope of the risk-informed inservice inspection program.
1 The Commission intends to revisit the policy issues inherent in the draft documents in light of the expected substantial public comments.
