INTEGRATED MATERIALS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION v PROGRAM (IMPEP) REVIEW OF TEXAS RADIATION CONTROL PROGRAM This memorandum transmits to the Management Review Board (MRB) a proposed final report (Attachment 11 documenting the IMPEP review of the Texas Radiation Control Program. The review of the Texas program was conducted by an interoffice team during the period June 16-27,1997. The team issued a draft report to Texas on July 25,1997, for factual comment. The review team found Texas' performance with respect to each of the common l
performance indicators and the non common indicator, Legislation and Regulations to be l
satisfactory. The review team found Texas' performance with respect to the non-common indicators, Sealed Source and Device Evaluation Program, Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Program, and the Uranium Recovery Program to be satisfar.ory with recommendations for improvement. Accordingly, the team recommends that the Management Review Board find the Texas program to be adequate to protect public health
