SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-498/98-12; 50-499/98-12
Dear Mr. Cottle:
From February 23-27,1998, a routine, announced inspection was conducted at your South
Texas Project Electric Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 reactor facilities. The enclosed report
presents the scope and results of that inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included portions of your physical security program.
We determined that the areas inspected were properly implemented,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
with you.
