Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Confirmation of Commitment Regarding Revising Plant Procedure to Instruct Medical Staff on Physical Examination of Plant Personnel Gentlemen:
In your letter dated March 20,1998, you requested that we confirm a regulatory commitment made to the NRC at the Corrective Action Program Inspection exit meeting which was conducted on February 20,1998, at Waterford 3. The exit meeting was lead by NRC Inspector Greg Pick. By this letter, Waterford 3 is confirming that the following action that was provided at the exit meeting is a regulatory commitment:
The Director, Site Support committed to revise the procedure that instructed the medical staff on physical examination of plant personnel by May 30,1998.
Specifically, the procedure would be revised to document that personnel would be reminded of the need to obtain special eyewear, if needed, and a l
space would be added for confirmation by the employee that they were informed.
