IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RESOLUTION FOR GENERIC ISSUE 142,
" LEAKAGE THROUGH ELECTRICAL ISOLATORS" In the enclosed memorandum from Eric S. Beckjord dated March 9,1993, RES documented the resolution of Generic Issue 142, " Leakage Through Electrical Isolators," forwarded proposed criteria for qualification testing of isolation l
devices, and recommended that the proposed test criteria be used in developing guidance for use in the review of future plants, or current plants where the existing analog safety-related system is being replaced by a digital system.
It was also recommended that the aforementioned guidance be included.in a revision to the Standard Review Plan (SRP). Accordingly, I am referring the recommendation to revise the SRP to you for appropriate action.
