The purpose of this letter is to provide Revision D to the Referenced ITS submittal. ITS Revision D contains changes to ITS Section 5.7, "High Radiation Area," and to ITS Sections 5.5.6 and 5.6.8 for Containment Tendon Surveillance Program and Report.

l ITS Section 5.7 incorporates changes recommended by NRC staff during their review of that portion of ITS identified as "Beyond Scope Changes." The particular issue relates to Beyond Scope Change #17 in Attachment 5 of the Split Report portion of the Referenced g/
submittal. The recommendations were discussed in a series of telecons conducted between NRC staff and Commonwealth Edison on October 16,1997; December 5,1997; and January 29,1998.
ITS Sections 5.5.6 and 5.6.8 were revised to comply with the new requirements of 10 CFR 50.55a which endorses the use of Subsection IWL of the 1992 Edition and the 1992 Addenda of the ASME Code,Section XI, with five additional nodifications specified in 10 CFR 50.55a(b)(2)(ix).
