The Commission was briefed by the members of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards on the following topics:
Senior Management Meeting process Proposed revision to 10 CFR 50.59 Process j
Risk-informed Performance-Based Regulation, including use of Probabilistic Risk Assessment in the Regulatory Decision-Making Process Status of AP600 Review The Commission requested that the ACRS identify situation-specific cases where the Committee believes PRA results and insights have improved the existing regulatory system and the Committee's views on specific areas in which PRA, when applied properly, can have a positive impact on the regulatory system.

The Commission indicated that the remaining topics on the meeting agenda that time did not permit the ACRS to cover would be considered for the next periodic meeting between the Commission and the Committee, and encouraged the ACRS to continue to be forward-looking in bringing issues to the Commission's attention.
