Dear Mr. Graesser:
This letter confirms our plans to have a Predecisional Enforcement Conference at 10:00 a.m.
(CDT) on September 11,1997, at the Region til Office in Lisle, Illinois. This will be a combined meeting with the Byron and Braidwood stations to discuss the circumstances related to the common failure to property vent the chemical and volume control systems as required by Technical Specifications. This matter is addressed in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-454/97009(DRP); $0-455/97009(DRP).
We expect you to address the circumstances related to the issues, any short term and long term corrective actions taken or planned, and any other information that you deem necessary, in addition, it is an opportunity for you to provide any new insights that may not have been apparent during the inspection and provide comments on the applicability of the NRC e:4rcement policy.
This meeting is open to the public.
