JOSEIil M. FARlEY N1C1 JAR PI ANT UNIT 2 NARRATIVE SthttAin' OF OPIRATIONS Octoler, 1990 The unit was shutzlown at 0022 on Oct.oler 13 for the cycle 7 - 8 refueling outage. There were no other unit shutelowns or significant power ruiuotions during the month of Octoler.
The following major safety-relatexl naintenance was perfonwxt in the mont.h of Outolor:
- 1. The reactor was defuelal and viaual inspect.lon of. the reactor vessel was complet ext. Visual inspections arnl ultrasonic inslect.lons of the fuel were compl e tal. One leaking fuel rod was detected in a fuel assembly 1. hat. was not denigrutted for reload arxl one defect was discovered on a fuel rod in an assembly that. was designatal for reload. This assembly will not le reloaded.
- 2. Prevent.ive naintenance was completal on both control rul drive nochanism motor-generator sets.
- 3. The congonent cooling water heat exchanger 2C service water outlet isolation valve was replaced.
- 4. The controller on t.he train A service water minimum flow valve was replacul.
- 5. The relay in the 125V DC distribution innel 2A was replaced.
