The ' proposed amendment modifies the TMI-1 Tech'nical Specifications to reflect installation of the new spent ~ fuel pool storage racks. .The.new racks will accommodate an increase in spent fuel assemblien beyond the existing storage capacity of the spent fuel pools as described in the enclosed Licensing Report.

Pursuant to 10CFR50.9'(a) (1), we enclose our analyses, using the standards. in  ;

10CFR50.92 of significant hazards considerations. As. stated.above, pursuant to 10CFR50.91(a).of.the regulations, we have provided a copy of this letter, the -

cproposed change in Technical Specifications, and our analyses of significant

. hazards-considerations to Thomas Gerusky, the designated representative of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
