Request for Additional Information (RAI) Regarding the Resolution of Unresolved Safety Issue A-46 (TAC No. M69490)
Reference (e i requested additional information about the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station's response to Generic Letter 87-0'2, which was provided in reference (b). This response requires a substantial effon to answer 16 questions, some with many subparts. Some of these questions are generic in nature and in order to prepare the response, VYNPC, at the present time, is coordinating with the Seismic Qualification Utility Group (SQUG), the industry group set up explicitly to address these issues.
The effort is ongoing now and we anticipate completion of this request by June 15.
