i As requested in your letter of July 22,1994, Southern Nuclear Operating Company is forwarding the scope and objectives for our 1998 FEMA evaluated exercise. We will conduct the biennial emergency preparedness exercise for the Vogtle Electric Generating l
Plant (VEGP) Units I and 2 on Wednesday, June 24,1998, in accordance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix E. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will evaluate state and county participation. An MS-1 medical drill with Burke County EMA and Columbia Augusta Medical Center will be evaluated by FEMA on Tuesday, June 23, 1998. The exercise scope and objectives are described in the enclosure. This information should not be placed in the Public Document Room.
