Approval of Changes to Quality Assurance Program Gentlemen:
We have received your letter dated March 11,1998 (Reference b), which identified your intention to take more than 60 days to complete your review of changes to the Maine Yankee Quality Assurance Program submitted on January 28,1998 (Reference c).
10CFR50.54(a)(3)(iv) states " changes to the quality assurance program description included or referenced in the Safety Analysis Report shall be regarded as accepted by the Commission upon receipt of a letter to this effect from the appropriate reviewing office of the Commission or 60 days afler submittal to the Commission, whichever occurs first."
In accordance with 10CFR50.54(a)(3)(iv), on March 29,1998, we shall regard the changes as accepted by the Commission.
