-I am responding to your August 29. 1997, letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding Westinghoute Electric Corporation's commitment to shut down operations in the pelleting lines at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility until Westinghouse has demonstrated compliance with nuclear criticality safety commitments for the pellet granulator hoppers and moisture-drop-out tanks. We look forward to your follow-up call when Westinghouse has come into-full compliance with NRC License SNM-1107-prior to restarting operations.
