Dear Mr. DeLaBarre:
Enclosed is a letter from Siemens Power Corporation requesting an amendment to their export license XSNM02999 to change the end of the material from reload fuel for Angra 1 and initial core loading for Angra 2 to initial core loading and reload fuel for Angra 2. The total quantity of 100,000 kilograms uranium /5.000 kilograms uranium-235 will be used in the Angra 2 reactor.
We would appreciate your assistance in obtaining the Government of Brazil assurances that the requested change of end use of the material meets with their approval.
