Mr. Cottle: . An NRC inspection was conducted August 25 28,1997, at your South Texas Project Electric Generating Station, Units 1 and 2,, reactor facilities. The enclosed report presents , the scope and results of that inspection. The inspection reviewed the licensee's programs for maintaining occupational exposures as , low as is reasonably achievable, for training and qualifications of members of the radiation protection organization, and quality oversight of the radiation protection program. Activities within these areas were appropriately conducted. Excellent results were noted in maintaining a total radiation exposure low. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice " a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
