R. E. Cunningham G. L. Sjoblom L. C. Rouse CtMBUSTION ENGINEERING (CE), WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT J. Roth reported that a utility, SCE, shut CE down during a vendor inspection on 6/19/87. The cause was repeated failure to follow procedures.

CE is still shudown.

The shatdown stems from an apparent quality control failure, re 10 CFR 50, Appendix B.

The NRC Vendor Branch is following this development.
