Dear Mr. Wood:
By letter dated February 16,1998, you requested NRC staff review of proposed reduction-in-commitment changes to Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1, Updated Safety Analysis Report Chapter 17.2, " Quality Assurance During the Operating Phase," and Davis-Besse commitments previously made to the NRC in response to an NRC Notice of Violation.
Based on the current schedule, the review will not be completed within 60 days. When the review is completed, you will be notified of the results. Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this matter.
