NOTICE OF VIOLATION Commonwealth Edison Company Docket No. 50-254 As a result of the inspection conducted on April 5 through June 6,1987, and in accordance with the " General Policy and Protec'ures for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C.(1985), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(ii) requires that any actuation of any Engineered Safety Feature not resulting from a preplanned sequence during testing must be reported to the NRC within 4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> of the occurrence of th.s event.
Contrary to the above, an unplanned control room ventilation system isolation occurred on May 19, 1987 at 1325 hours0.0153 days <br />0.368 hours <br />0.00219 weeks <br />5.041625e-4 months <br /> and was not reported to the NRC until June 4, 1987 at 1630 hours0.0189 days <br />0.453 hours <br />0.0027 weeks <br />6.20215e-4 months <br />.

office within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written statement or explanation in reply, including for each violation:
(1)correctiveaction taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
