STAFF REQUIREMENTS: BRIEFING ON TREATMENT OF EXISTING PROGRAMS FOR LICENSE RENEWAL,9:30 A.M.
TUESDAY, JULY 13,1999, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on credit for existing programs for licease renewal.
The Nuclear Energy Institute and the Union of Concerned Scientists also participated in the briefing.
At the meeting, there were no requirert.ents identified for staff action. The Commission indicated that it would provide guidance on the options for crediting existing programs in the license renewal process as discussed during the meeting, in the context of Commission consideration of SECY 148, "Crecit for Existing Programs for License Renewal."
