NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NOV) 98-02-01 (PART 1) NRC INSPECTION REPORT 99900404/98-02
Dear Mr. Galembush:
In our letter of May 21,1999, we stated that the staff was reviewing the Tenessee Valley Authority'(TVA) test plan for ice condenser sheet metal screws at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant.
We also stated that upon completion, we would advise you of the results of that review since it relates to the closure of NOV 98-02-01 (Part 1).
Based on a safety evaluation performed by the Materials and Chemical Engineering and the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Branches, discussions with TVA engineering staff, and previous actions taken by Westinghouse to address the NOV, the staff now conside s this NOV closed.
