Dear Mr. Maynard:
l This refers to the meeting conducted in the Region IV office on March 6,1998. This meeting was convened to discuss the efforts taken by the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation to assure that the configuration of the Wolf Creek Generating Station was maintained consistent with its design and licensing bases. During this useful and informative meeting, we discussed the various programs and initiatives which constitute the Wolf Creek design basis / licensing basis program, including their results, benefits, and schedules. We also discussed certain findings of i
l the design inspection (NRC Inspection Report 50-482/97-201) completed at Wolf Creek on l
January 9,1998, as they provided insight into the adherence of certain plant systems to their l
design and licensing bases.
l In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
