Wolf Creek Generating Station Annual Safety Evaluation Report Gentlemen:
The attachment provides the Annual Safety Evaluation Report for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) which is being submitted pursuant to 10 CFR
- 50. 59 (b) (2).
This report covers the period of January 1, 1997, to December 31, 1997.
This report sunmarizes written safety evaluations approved during this period.
During preparation of this report, Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation j
identified that Safety Evaluation Summaries for Safety Evaluations 59 96-0055 i
and 59 96-0182 should have been submitted by the Reference, which covered the reporting period from January 1,
1996, through December 31, 1996.
These summaries were inadvertently cmitted from the Reference because of a data entry erro..
In addition, Safety Evaluation 59 97-0070 was implemented during the 1997 reporting period, but was not approved for implementation until 4998.
