revising the requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. " Licenses for Industrial
~ Radiography and Radiation _ Safety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic Operations." The revision, which con",ined numerous changes in the requirements, also modified the.
transportation. As a result of quality assurance these changes, (0A) requirements a separate for NRC QA program

Specifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph.
-10 CFR 71.101(g). This provision was added to the regulations and requires that inspection and maintenance arograms limited to radiographic exposure devices. source changers, or pac (ages transporting these devices and meeting the' provisions-of 10 CFR Part 34.31(b), or equivalent Agreement State regulations, satisfy the general license requirements specified in 10 CFR Part j' 71.12(b) for Type B-transport packages.
