-Your Quality Assurance Program A) proval No. 0780 is hereby terminated. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission pu)lished a final rule, effective June 27, 1997, revising the requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. " Licenses for Industrial Radiography and Radiation Safety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic-Operations. " The revision, which contained numerous changes in the l
requirements, also modified the quality assurance (0A) requirements for transportation. As a result of these changes, a separate NRC OA program
- approval is no longer needed, Specifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph,
- 10 CFR
- 71.101(g). This provision was added to the regulations and requires l- that inspection and maintenance )rograms limited to radiographic exposure l devices, source changers,- or paccages transporting these devices and meeting
-the provisions of 10 CFR Part-34.31(b). or equivalent Agreement State i regulations, satisfy the general license requirements specified in 10 CFR Part 71.12(b): for Type B transport packages.
