VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2
_RE_ QUEST FOR REINSTATEMENT OF QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM APPROVAL FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL PACKAGES NO. 0194 Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages No. 0194 (Docket Number 71-0194) inadvertently expired on May 31,1999 without a request for renewal. Virginia Electric and Power Company requests reinstatement of program approval for another five-year period for all applicable radioactive material packages.
We presently apply and intend to continue the application of our previously NRC approved 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Program to the packaging and transportation of radioactive materials, thereby satisfying the provisions of Subpart H to 10 CFR 71.
We understand that due to the formal expiration of program approval, that this action must be treated as a reque.st for approval rather than renewal. Therefore, enclosed is a check for $340.00 as required by 10 CFR 170.31, item 10.B.
