Docket No. 70-7002 Response to NRC Concern 98-A-0019 Dear Mr. Camano Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) letter dated February 19,1998, requested that the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) respond to certain issues at PORTS. As stated in the NRC's letter, an employee believed the employee's right to privacy was violated as a result of a meeting with the Employee Concerns Manager and an Engineering Manager.
USEC conducted an investigation of this issue. The details of our review can be found in Enclosure I to this letter. As described in Enclosure 1, the person performing this investigation was independent of the affected individuals and organizations. Also as indicated in Enclosure 1, USEC believes that the concerns expressed in the NRC letter are not substantiated. Since the concerns are not substantiated, there are no new commitments made in this correspondence. does not contain proprietary information. Ilowever, USEC requests that NRC withhold from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6), since disclosure ofinformation in Enclosure I could constitute an invasion of personal privacy.
