I am responding to your request for information on the status of NRC implementation of the working group report recommendations on the control and accountability of devices.
The Commission is presently reviewing NRC staff 's analysis of the report, and options l
for providing greater control and accountability. We expect that the Commission will issue direction in the near future (2-3 weeks). At that time the staff's ' analysis and the Commission's direction will be available.
Please stay in touch with me and I will put you in contact with the NRC staff who will be working in this area and we can provide you copies of the analysis and Commission direction.
