l.1 Objective The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that the fire pump diesel engine (local ID M7-7) is inspected at least once evely 18 months. The performance of this procedure satisfies the requirements stated in

" Millstone Unit 1 Technical Requirements Manual," OPS Form 273-7.2,

" Fire Protection Tbchnical Requirements," Section 4.1.A.i.g.3(a).

1.2 Applicablility Applicable to all operating modes.

2. PREREOUISITES 2.1 General

'l.1 Surveillance cover sheet, Maint. Form 788.8-1, has been signed and surveillance has been approved.

2.1.2 An AWO has been issued and approved by Unit 1 Operations Department for inspection as necessary.

4. INSTRUCTIONS-

.'4.1 INITIAL and DATE Maint. Form 788.8-1 indicating that prerequisites have been completed and precautions have been noted.

4.2 Refer Tb MP 744.1, " Fire Pump Diesel Engine Inspection," and INSPECT engine.

4.3 IE inspection results are not satisfactory, RECORD results on Maint.

Form 788.8-1 and NOTIFY FLS.

4.4 RECORD serial number and calibration due date of any Measuring and Tbst Equipment used during inspection on Maint. Form 788.8-1.
