Nuclear Regulatory Comission pu)11shed a final rule. effective June 27, 1997, revising the requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. " Licenses for Industrial Radiography and Rariiation Safety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic Operations." The revision, which contained numerous changes in the i
requirements, also modified the quality assurance (0A) requirements for transportation. As a result of these changes. a separate NRC OA program l
approval is no longer needed.
S)ecifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph.
