ATWS Mitigating System Activation Circuitry (AMSAC)
Schedule Dear Mr. Denton Reference 1 requested a schedule for addressing plant specifio design features within Anticipated Transient Without Scram (ATWS) Mitigating System Activation Circuitry (AMSAC).
The plant specific information is scheduled to be submitted to the Staff for review on or before March 1, 1987.
Staff approval of the plant specific submittal is requested prior to July 1, 1987 in order to support AMSAC installation prior to start-up following the third refueling outage currently scheduled for Fall 1988.
This allows sufficient time for proper scheduling and procurement activities and implementation of any changes which may result from the Staff's review.
If there are any unexpected delays in this schedule, AMSAC implementation may be postponed until the fourth refueling tentatively scheduled for April, 1990.
Note that th!s proposed AMSAC implementation schedule revises the schedule previously supplied in Reference 2.
