IE Bulletin 86-03, " Potential Failure of Multiple ECCS Pumps due to Single Failure of Air Operatad Valve in Minimum Flow Recircu-lation Line", dated October 8, 1986 1
In view of the extended construction delay of WNP-1, we will postpone our response to IE Bulletin 86-03 until after construction restart. When construction resumes, we will develop a schedule to submit our evaluation of the applicability of single failure vulnerability in the minimum flow recirculation line of any ECCS pumps that would cause failure of more than one ECCS train. The i evaluation will address the concerns of IE Bulletin 86-03.
