BASED ON VALUES REPORTED IN DRAFT ORAU INTERIM REPORT DATED MARCH,1985 e IN RESPONSE TO NRC CONCERNS, UNC EXCAVATED ADDIT 10NAL QUANTITIES OF S0ll, AS DEFINED IN LETTER, R.J. EREG6 TO W.T. CROW DATED MAY 2,1966. THESE AREAS WERE THEN RESAMPLED AND ANALYZED FOR THE ISOTOPES OF CONCERN.

e BASED ON THE RESULTS OF ANALYSIS, ADDITIONAL EXCAVAT10N WAS PERFORMED ON SOME AREAS. THESE i

AREAS WERE THEN RESAMPLED AND ANALYZED e ON SEPTEMBER 26,1966, ORAU PERFORMED ADDITIONAL RESURVEYS AND S0ll SAMPLING FOR THE NRC. BASED ON THEIR ON-SITE REPORTS, UNC PERFORMED ADDITIONAL i DECONTAMINATION, RESAMPLING, AND ANALYSIS.

1 e RESULTS OF UNC ANALYSES, AS REPORTED VIA LETTER, R.J. GREG6 TO W.T. CROW DATED JANUARY 28,1987,SHOW THAT THE S0ll AT UNC RECOVERY SYSTEMS IS IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE NRC*S SITE SPECIFIC DECONTAMINATION GUIDELINES.
