FOLLOWUP INVESTIGATION FOR AE00 REPORT E702, "MOV FAILURE DUE TO HYDRAULIC LOCKUP FROM EXCESSIVE GREASE IN SPRING i
PACK" l
Arrangements have been made to visit the Limerick site on May 5,1987 to discuss their experience with MOV hydraulic lockup and grease relief related to the spring pack of Limitorque motor operators. Anticipated HRC staff participation will include AE00, NRR, and RES staff involved in review of operating experience, preparation of NRC notices to licensees, and resolution of generic issues.
Pepresentatives from INP0 and Limitorque, Inc., have been I
invited and plan to attend.
l Topics to be discussed are as follows:
1.
Experience with hydraulic lockup and grease relief.
2.
MOV rework program (including signature tracing testing).
3.
Thermal overload device use (alarn, control, bypass, etc.)
