Research of a project to evaluate internal conduit fire sealing requirements as described in Attachment 1.

In September 1986 we received a respanse With instructions to contact 1

Wisconsin Electric has recently contacted Mr. Sullivan to I

arrange the meeting and was referred to Mr. David Notley of your staff.

They discussed the recommendation of presenting the project results to the Office of Nae: lear Reactor Regulation because application of the results of.niclec.r plant. design will directly affect licensing requirements.

Enclosed for your review are two copies.o,f the final report I

describing the test program.

Results~have been summarized, and

-general guidance has been included to; aid participants in implementing the regulations;regarding the internal sealing of conduits by providing astechnical-basis forldesign.
