REP-1, Revision 1; and FEMA-43, 'the. " Standard Guide for the Evaluation of Alert
and Notification Systems for Nuclear Power Plants" (now published as FEMA-REP-10).
Se enclosed report which is entitled "Callaway Nuclear Power Plant Site-Specific -
'Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness Alert and Notification System Quality '
Assurance. Verification" sumarizes the engineering design review; incorporates -
i the results of the telephone survey of the public conducted immediately following the activation of the alert and notification system on May 7,1985; and confirms

Therefore,-there is now reasonable assurance that the system is adequate.to prt:mptly. alert and notify the public in the event of 'a' radiological emergency at the site.
Se caveat on the alert and notification system contained in the 44 CFR 350 approval for Missouri dated July 9, 1985,
