Westingnouse Letter Datea Octooer 17, 1985 tRC Letter Dated November 18, 1985 In DJr aDove referenced letter, We described additional facilities to be installed on the Columbia Site.

The purpose of this letter is to (1) provice you with a status of these projects, (2) mooify Figure 1.3.2.1 to show exact locations of the builaings, and (3) clarify the status of the Improved Fuel Processing Operations.

Of the five projects cescrioed in our referenced letter, two of them (office and cafeteria) have Deen completed and are now occuplea.

The other three projects (Southwest acoltion, Southeast addition, and IFP builcing) are still under construction, with completion cates near the end of 1987.

We will submit an amendment application later this year aescrioing tne operations to De performeo in the Southwest and Southeast additions.

Enclosed for your information is revised Figure 1.3.2.1 showing locations of all projects.

Note that the temporary office is still shown on this drawing but will be removed during 1987.

An official copy of this drawing will ce submitted when we request the license amenoment.

The IFP Building was originally designed as a detachea structure to provice for isolation of the nuclear poisons from the existing processes.

Since then, the building has been redesigned cased upon economic consiaerations to use the Southeast audition structural steel to-support the IFP building out to continue to isolate IFP processes from the k

g existing plant.

This is accomplisheo using a " double wall" arrangement ss e
