Georgia Power Company has made a change to one of the implementing documents for the E.

I.

Hatch Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 Emergency Plan. The change moves the location of the Offsite Ecergency News Center from its present location in the Appling County High School, Baxley,

Georgia, to Georgia Power Company's Vidalia Operating Headquarters located in Vidalia, Georgia.

The location will be temporary until a permanent location is determined and a facility is erected in 1987.

The physical location of the Offsite Emergency News Center is not indicated in the E. I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 Emergency Plan; however, the location is discussed in the Corporate Public Information Emergency Communications Pl an, which is incorporated by reference into the Emergency Plan.

A complementary copy of the Communications Plan was given to Mr. K. Clark of your staff in July 1985.

The location of the News Center has been changed in the Communications Plan.

Georgia Power has determined that thi:: change does not decrease the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.
