User Registration for the USA /9094/A Radioactive Materials Shipping Cask Pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR71.12 Detroit Edison as holder of License No. NPF-43, wishes to register as a user of the following NRC approved radioactive material shipping cask:

Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc.

CNS 14-195-H Package identification number for this cask is USA /9094/A, NRC Docket No. 71-9094.

As required by 10CFR71.12(c). Detroit Edison has a copy of the relevant package approval; has a copy of drawings and documents referenced in the approval relating to the use and maintenance of the packaging and to the actions to be taken prior to shipment; and complies with the terms and conditions of the approval and with those of 10CFR71, subparts A. G and H.

i It is requested that all future letters, SARs, drawings, etc., for the above mentioned radioactive material shipping cask be forwarded to me with a copy tor PDR

Detroit Edison Company 6400 N.. Dixie Highway Newport, MI 48166 On March 26, 1987, this shipping cask (USA /9094/A) was used for the first. time by the Detroit Edison Company. At the time of first use,.

Detroit Edison was in compliance with all requirements of 10CFR71.12 with the exception of Section 10CFR71.12(C)(3). This letter is being submitted to satisfy the requirement of 10CFR71.12(C)(3).
