Dear Dr. Grace:
In support of the third refueling outage which began on March 6,
the following fire barriers were inoperable for greater than seven days.
1.
Fire Door CB-603 was opened on March 29, for
'B' Train testing.
On April 9, testing was completed and the door was closed.
2.
Several penetrations in service water pump house room 25-04 were opened on April 14, to allow Appendix 'R' modifications.
The modifications and the fire barrier repairs will be complete before start-up.
This Special Report is required by Technical Specifications Section 3.7.10
" Fire Rated Assemblies".
As directed in Action Statement (a) of Section 3.7.10, the following was performed.
1.
Testing of the fire detector operability.
2.
Fire watch patrols were established.
