ATTAC15ENT Braidwood Station Unit 1 Performance Test Results, Essential Service Water Pump 4SX04P The Braidwood Unit 1 essential service water pump underwent a 48 hour5.555556e-4 days
0.0133 hours
7.936508e-5 weeks
1.8264e-5 months
endurance run under normal flow conditions as part of the auxiliary feedwater system pre-operational test. The results are as follows:

Prestart Alignment Test Acceptable Suction Pressure 80 psig Discharge Pressure 122 psig Differential Pressure 42 psig Flowrate 432 gpm Developed Head 96.8 ft.

Ambient Room Temp'rature 70*F Thrust Bearing Temperature 121*F Inboard Bearing Temperature 121'F Outboard Bearing Temperature 138'F Seal Leakage None Vibration Signature Acceptable RPM Speed Check Acceptable Hydrortatic Test Acceptable The results of the performance test for the ISX04P pump at runout flow conditions are as follows:

Suction Pressure 68 psig Discharge Pressure 68 psig Flowrate 961 gpm

^

Vibration Signature Acceptable Bearing Temperature 91.4*F i

Ambient Temperature 66.2*F i

Seal Leakage None Braidwood Station has not tested the ISX04P pump at minimum flow conditions because of the potential for damage to the diesel engi.9 of the associated FW pump. The 1SX04P pump supplies jacket cooling water to the diesel engine. Running the pump under minimum flow corditions could result in inadequate heat removal and subsequene diesel engine overheating.

i We believe the concerns expressed in the subject bulletin have been adequately addressed for the Braidwood Unit 1 essential service water punip.
