APPLICANTS' MOTION TO TOWN OF HAMPTON MOTION TO ESTABLISH HEARING SCHEDULE AND FOR ADDITIONAL TIME TO FILE CONTENTIONS AND FOR INCORPORATION OF CONTENTIONS 1.

On October 8, 1986, the Town of Hampton ("TOH") filed what purported to be a response to a previously filed Motion of the Applicants for, inter alia, establishment of a hearing schedule.

2.

While denominated a response, this document, in fact, seeks affirmative relief which, inter alia, would establish a filing deadline of January 1, 1987 for contentions with respect to Revision 2 of the NHRERP.

3.

With realization that scheduling is a matter entirely committed to the sound discretion of the Board, the Applicants urge the Board not to defer the filing 0610270100 861020 gDR ADOCK05000g3

]{)}h

.c deadline for late-filed contentions arising out of Revision 2 of the NHRERP to January 1, 1987.

TOH has made no showing that such an extensive length of time is necessary or appropriate.
