As part of the analysis of Transnuclear Inc.'s licer:se application, we have i

conducted a detailed review of the application submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on March 2, 1987, and have determined that additional information is required. Enclosure 1 is a list of questions regarding the Transnuclear activities..These questions were discussed during our site visit on June 2, 1987.

Written responses to the enclosed questions are necessary to complete our licensing process. The schedule calls for the receipt of eight copies of your responses by July 15, 1987. Enclosure 2 is a copy of OR0-651, Revision 5, that you requested during the site visit.

Identify the types (not manufacturer names) of instrumentation used for measuring radioactivity, including their purpose, range, calibration method and frequency, and testing that will be used for activities covered by this license application.

Describe your inspection program for receipt, transfer, and long-term

Include how cylinder valves are protected if valve protectors are not used.

Confirm that a valve repair kit, as described in OR0-651, Rev. 5, will be available on the premises or at a minimum, the wooden pegs contained in the kit.
