Dear Mr. Anderson:
Enclosed are NRC staff comments on the draft Rerredial Action Plan (dRAP) and draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for Green River, Utah. A total of 39 conments were rade, 20 on the dRAP,11 on the DEA, and 8 (I - VIII) generally applicable to both.

The staff identified no significant problems which would preclude the proposed l
remedial action. However, the enclosed comments need to be addressed prior to our concurrence in the selected remedial action.
During our review the staff requested information referenced to support discussions in the dRAP and DEA. Not all of this additional information was received in time to include in this review. The staff will continue to review this information and will provide additional comments, if appropriate, for D0E's consideration in development of the final RAP and EA.
