SUMMARY

OF UNIT 1 OPERATING EXPERIENCE MAY 1987 5/1 The Unit was shutdown for Environmental and Material Qualification.

5/27 At 0108 the Unit became critical.

At-2010 the Unit was -

paralleled.

5/29 At 0640 the Unit reached 100% reactor power.

5/30 At 2250, power was reduced to 680 MWe to find and repair a Main Condenser tube leak.

5/31 The tube leak was found in 12B Main Condenser, and the Unit was returned to full power at 0900.

5/31 The Unit ended:this reporting period at full reactor power. (825 MWe) t I

Scheduled date for next Refueling Shutdown: March 26,1988 3.

Scheduled date for restart following refueling: May 12,1988 4.

Will refueling or resumption of operation thereafter require a technical specification change or other license amendment?

Resumption of operation after refueling will not require changes to Technical Specifications.
