Beta Radiation in Fort St. Vrain Radioactive Liquid Effluent

Dear Mr. Berkow:
This is to inform you that a beta radiation monitor was installed in the discharge pathway for the Fort St. Vrain Reactor Building sump on September 22, 1986, in the accordance with the commitment made to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in reference 1). We are currently in the six month trail period agreed to by the Commission and we will be providing quarterly reports on our progress.
In addition, a final report will be provided which will include data needed to evaluate the performance and feasibility of the monitoring system.
