SUBJECT:
Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units 2 and 3 NRC Research Activities Effects of Iodine Chemistry on Source Term Estimates
REFERENCE:
Letter, G. E. Gears, USNRC, to S. L. Daltroff, PECo, dated June 3, 1986
Dear Mr. Gears:
In the referenced letter you requested our voluntary assistance in helping the NRC to obtain plant specific data on the types of coatings and the total surface area each in the containments and reactor buildings at the Peach Bottom facility.
You stated that the purpose of obtaining this data is to test certain assumptions pertaining to the modeling of severe accident source term estimates.
Philadelphia Electric Company is pleased to provide the requested data for the Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3 primary containments (see attachment).
Unfortunately, the requested data for the reactor buildings is not readily available.
We are continuing our search for this data and will advise you of our findings.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Very truly yours, 8610210049 861010 PDR ADOCK 05000277
