QA FOR NAC ISFSI STORAGE / TRANSPORT CASK By letter dated June 5, 1987, Nuclear Assurance Corporation (NAC) responded to the open items which were transmitted to NAC by your letter of June 16, 1986. NAC.also submitted Revision 2 of its Topical Safety Analysis Report for its storage / transport cask for use at an ISFSI.
Revision 2 is dated 1
April 1987.
We have reviewed these NAC submittals and determined that NAC has described a QA program for its storage / transport casks which meets the requirements of Subpart G of 10 CFR 72. Our review used the Standard Review Plan for QA Programs for an ISFSI. While the QA program is acceptably described, NAC must ensure its effective implementation so that regulatory requirements continue to be met.
