NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company Docket No. 50-425 Vogtle Unit 2 License No. CPPR-109 During the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted on October 20-31, 1986, a violation of NRC requirements was identified. The violation involved failure to mark materials with the purchase order number and item number. In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1986), the violation is listed below:

1 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V and the licensee's accepted Quality Assurance Program (Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Final Safety Analysis Report', Chapter 17.I.'5) collectively require that activities affecting quality be prescribed by procedures and be accomplished in accordance with these procedures. Pullman Power Products Procedure VIII-1 dated August 5,

, 1981, Identification of Materials, Parts and Components, paragraph 8.1.1, requires when materials are cut, the purchase order number, item number and heat number, as appropriate shall be transferred to each piece.
